The district’s curriculum program has achieved educational approval for all students as recognized by the Texas Education Agency’s District Effectiveness and Compliance team which visited last in December, 1997. The district is dedicated to providing optimal educational opportunities as evident in the areas of program, staff, and curriculum development. At the elementary and middle school levels, the core curriculum includes the study of English language arts, mathematics, science, health, physical education, fine arts and social studies. Technology is a recognized need as evidenced by a working local area network (LAN) allowing for our classrooms to connect together, connected to long distance learning, and the World Wide Web. Band |
All Tioga's middle school students have the option to participate in band, and student council. Grades 2nd thru 8th can participate in the annual NTIL academic competition, as well. NTIL or the North Texas Interscholastic League consists of three K-8 public school districts in our area and three private schools.
Tioga's athletic program and cheerleading is open to all 7th and 8th grade students. Our volleyball, basketball, and track teams compete against the NTIL teams. Our mascot is the Tioga Bulldog; our school colors are green and white.
Tioga
does not have it's own football team, but our 7th and
8th grade boys participate with the Gunter ISD team. Our 7th and 8th grade boys
and girls also participate with Gunter ISD's track
team each spring.
