·        workbook assignments will be left in your workbook,

·        Assignments that do not meet the grading requirements will be docked points.

Planner:

·        Your planner is crucial to this class.  Learning to stay organized and caught up on many things is probably the most valuable skill you’ll acquire as a young adult.

·        You will write in your planner EVERYDAY!

·        I’ll check planners at random for a grade.

·        Your planner also serves as your pass to the restroom, water fountain, or lockers.  It is not a guaranteed pass, but you won’t leave without it.

Late Assignments:

Late assignments fall under the ZAP program.  There will be a thirty point deduction for assignments turned in following a ZAP. Also see the Late Work Policy in the student handbook.

Tardies:

You are allowed one free tardy per semester in this class.  Beginning on the second tardy you will be assigned a detention for each tardy.

Cheating:

If you are caught cheating will receive a grade of 0 and will not be allowed to make it up.  Cheating means either copying another’s work, or knowingly letting someone else copy your work. Cheating on a major project or exam earns a parental contact

Grades:

·        Your tests will count as 50% of your grade

·        Your class participation, homework, and quizzes will count 50% of your grade

Make-up Work

You will be responsible for checking the assignment calendar any time you are absent.  Please meet with me also to discuss what you missed and the assignments that will need to be made up.

Web Site:

I have a fairly extensive web page on the school’s web site tioga.ednet10.net.  I hope this will be a tool for both students and parents.  You will find an assignment board, unit overviews, select section notes, links, special project information, and class photos.

All policies in the student handbook will be followed in this classroom
